Scaling Africa’s Clean Energy Future

We build the energy and industrial platforms Africa needs. Then we stay.

Africa does not have a shortage of energy projects, or of demand. It has a shortage of projects that reach financial close.

That gap is our work. We start projects, build them into something investors can back, and stay involved long after the funding arrives.

What we actually do

We start projects

Not briefs. Not reports. Real platforms that we originate ourselves or build with a partner who has the site, the licence or the asset.

We make them fundable

The commercial model, the ownership structure, the governance, the standards investors will test. All of it built properly the first time.

We bring the money to the table

Development finance institutions, commercial banks, private investors. We know what each one needs to see, because we have sat on their side of it.

We build at a size that can take real money

There is a lot of dry powder aimed at African clean energy — capital that has been allocated but cannot find pipeline of the right size or quality. A single project can’t take it. A platform can, because it puts capital to work across repeatable assets rather than one site at a time.

We stay

This is the part that matters. We don’t hand over a recommendation and leave. We hold a long-term position in what we build and remain involved through financing, construction and operation. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work for us either.

Two ways to work with us

You are building something.

You have a site, a licence, a concession or an early-stage asset. You need the structure and the route to capital that turns it into something that gets financed.

You are looking to invest.

You want African clean energy and industrial opportunities that are properly built and ready to look at — or you want to shape one with us from the start.

Who we work with

Arup. INENSUS. Sterling Bank. The Rural Electrification Agency. Development banks, commercial banks, state governments and manufacturers across Africa, Europe and Asia.

We are a member of the OECD’s Blue Dot Network and sit on its Expert Consultation Group.

Let’s talk

Tell us what you are building, or what you are looking for.

We will tell you straight whether we can help.
